Everyone thinks you’re fine. Your mind hasn’t stopped all day.
Hypnotherapy for anxiety, blended with mindfulness and journaling. Online, wherever you are. So you can actually feel fine, and your mind can finally slow down.
Maybe it’s Sunday evening, and the week ahead is already sitting in your chest. Maybe a big change has left you missing the life you had, and you’re not sure where you belong anymore. Or you’re caring for someone else, and there’s no room left for your own worries. Or you’re surrounded by people and still feel on your own.
Anxiety lives in the past and the future. You go over what you should have said and what you shouldn’t have done. You cross the bridge a hundred times before you even get to it, planning for every outcome, most of which never happen. You talk yourself out of things before you’ve even tried. And slowly, it steals the joy from the moments you’re actually in.
Nobody sees the list running in your head, but you feel it. The tiredness isn’t only from the doing. It’s from the carrying.
On the outside you’re holding it together. Inside, the anxiety won’t let up, the self-doubt keeps chipping away, and you keep wondering whether it will all work out. It’s hard to imagine things being different, let alone changing them on your own. This is where we begin.
When anxiety has been taking up too much space, it’s hard to feel like yourself
Have a Sunday evening that feels like Sunday
Feel at home in your life again, wherever you are
Look after someone else without forgetting yourself
Feel less alone with what you’re carrying
Let a conversation end when it ends
Cross the bridge once, when you get to it
Try something new without talking yourself out of it
Enjoy the moment you’re in
Put the list down and rest, without feeling you’re falling behind
Hear the “not good enough” voices for what they are, and turn them down
Bit by bit, you’ll find you can:
We start with understanding
Anxiety isn’t a flaw in you. It’s a response to everything you’ve been living and carrying. So I’m not here to fix you. Together, we get curious about how anxiety shows up for you, and help it settle.
I don’t promise quick fixes. Looking after yourself is an everyday thing, and anxiety is part of being human. It may never disappear completely. But we can untangle the patterns that keep you stuck, so it starts to take up less space.
Some days will feel lighter, and some will feel like you’re back at the start. You’re not. Wobbles are part of the process, not a sign you’re doing it wrong. Whatever comes up, we’ll make room for it together.
Anxiety lives in the mind and the body. That’s why I don’t rely on one tool.
Hypnotherapy works at a subconscious level, gently shifting the beliefs and patterns that keep you stuck. Mindfulness brings you back to the present when your thoughts race ahead, so your mind can slow down and your body can settle. Journaling gets the thoughts out of your head and onto the page, so they feel less tangled, and you can see how far you’ve come.
Hypnotherapy, mindfulness and journaling woven together
HUMAN-CENTRED
You’re at the heart of our sessions. I only work with a few one-to-one clients at a time, so you have my full attention. You don’t need the right words, or to have it all figured out. Nothing you bring is too big, too small or too messy. You’re welcome exactly as you are.
TRAUMA-INFORMED
We move the focus from “what’s wrong with you” to “what happened to you.” I honour your full humanity and lived experiences and I won’t push an agenda. You’re always the expert on your own life.
From holding it all together to feeling like you again
Six sessions, each building on the last. By the time we finish, you’ll know how to notice anxiety early, help it settle, and be a little kinder to yourself when it shows up. You’ll also have recordings and practices to come back to whenever you need them.
Each stage has a purpose. You set the pace, and you always choose the direction.
LANDING (SESSION 1)
Making sense of where you are. You share your story, how anxiety shows up for you, and what you'd like to change. You try your first hypnotherapy practice.
SETTLING (SESSIONS 2 AND 3)
Calming the body. You learn to notice anxiety early, the tight chest, the racing thoughts, and help it settle instead of fighting it.
FINDING (SESSIONS 4 and 5)
Finding your feet again. We work with the voice that says you're not good enough, lower the self-doubt and rebuild your confidence.
TURNING (SESSION 6)
Turning towards what's next. We anchor what's working, so you leave with practices that keep going after we finish.

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to work with your subconscious mind, where your beliefs, habits and coping patterns live. It can be a powerful support for anxiety, stress, panic, overthinking and low self-esteem.
In our sessions, I combine hypnosis with talking therapy. In our first session, we talk about your story, what you’d like to change, and how we’ll get there. A typical session looks like this:
We talk through where you are today and set an intention.
I gently guide you into a relaxed state of focused awareness (hypnosis).
I use a technique tailored to you and what you’d like to change.
I gradually bring you back to the here and now.
Afterwards, most people feel lighter and more relaxed. You might notice a shift straight away, or over the following days.
-
Many people find it works just as well as in person. You’re in your own space, which many people find easier to relax in. All you need is a quiet room, headphones and a stable internet connection.
-
It can. Anxiety can show up at any point around a big change: in the weeks before a move or a new job, in the middle of settling in, or months later, when everything you’ve been holding together finally catches up with you. Wherever you are with it, that’s where we start.
-
No. You’re always in control under hypnosis, and you can come out of it at any moment simply by opening your eyes. Hypnosis is a collaboration. It can’t work if you don’t want it to, and your mind only accepts suggestions you’re comfortable with.
TV shows and stage hypnotists are there to entertain. I promise I’ll never make you cluck like a chicken.
You can’t get stuck in hypnosis either. You’ll always come out of it naturally. If you’re slow to open your eyes, it usually means you’re enjoying the relaxation, and I’ll gently guide you back into the room.

Hypnosis is a natural state of focused awareness that you already drift into many times a day. If you’ve ever driven somewhere and not remembered the journey, or got completely lost in a movie or a daydream, you’ve experienced something similar.
Most people describe it as comfortable and peaceful, somewhere between awake and asleep. You might hear every word I say, or your mind might wander and lose track of time. Both are normal. If you drift off, that’s fine too. I’ll gently bring you back.
It’s rare for someone not to be able to experience hypnosis. Some people settle into it straight away, others take a little longer. A bit of openness and curiosity is all you need.

Counselling mainly works at a conscious level, exploring what’s going on through talking. Hypnotherapy also works with the subconscious, where long-held habits and beliefs sit, which can help change happen at a deeper level.
The two work well together. Hypnotherapy draws on counselling skills, and in my sessions we talk as well as use hypnosis In the end, it comes down to what feels right for you.

I offer a six-session programme in four stages: Landing, Settling, Finding and Turning. It gives us enough time to understand what’s going on for you, make real changes, and leave you with tools for the future.
A 90-minute first session online
Five 60-minute sessions online, weekly or fortnightly, whichever suits your life
If you’d like to talk it through first, book a free 15-minute connection call. You can always add more sessions later.

Alongside hypnotherapy, mindfulness and journaling, I sometimes draw on:
NLP (neuro-linguistic programming): looking at how your thoughts and the words you use shape the way you feel and react.
EFT tapping: gently tapping on points on your face and body while you focus on a feeling, to help your body calm down.
Compassion-focused therapy: meeting the anxious, self-critical parts of you with more kindness.
I only bring them in when they’ll help. No two programmes look the same. You’ll find more detail on my scope of practice page.

Hypnotherapy is a partnership. I bring my full attention and care to our sessions, and change also comes from what you do in between.
After each session, I’ll send you a personal recording and some journaling prompts. To help the new patterns stick, set aside 20 to 30 minutes, three or four times a week, to listen to your recording and write.
On harder days, looking back at your pages is a real reminder of how far you’ve come.

Yes. All my sessions are online via Zoom, so I work with clients in different countries and time zones. When you book your free call, the booking page shows times in your own time zone.
Prices in other currencies are estimates, as exchange rates change. You may want to check your bank’s current rate when you book.

Hypnosis is gentle and non-invasive, and it helps many people with anxiety. It isn’t suitable if you’re currently experiencing psychosis or live with personality disorders, as it can sometimes make symptoms worse. I’m not trained to work with severe mental illness, but I’ll always do my best to point you towards someone who can support you properly. If you’re in crisis and need urgent help, call NHS 111. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E. You can also call Samaritans, day or night, on 116 123. If you’re outside the UK, please contact your local emergency services.
As for being ready, you don’t need to have it all figured out. A curious, open mind is enough. Take your time, and trust yourself on whether this feels right. If part of you is curious, a free call is a good place to start.
